Holy Family Defeats #1 Seed Kasson Mantorville

         Holy Family advances to the Section 2AA Finals. Senior Miles Campbell led the charge pitching a complete game and improving his record to 9-1. Kasey Ralston began the fireworks in the top of the first hitting a solo home run to left. Kasey added a 2 run double on an 0-2 count in the 5th to stretch the lead to 6-2. Chris Knoll had 2 hits and an RBI in the game. Holy Family will play on Tuesday, June 8th at 5:00 for the section championship.

Jackson Hallahan Shuts Out Hutchinson

       Senior Captain Jackson Hallahan pitched a complete game shutout against Hutchinson in a 5-0 victory on Thursday. Jackson also went 3 for 4 from the plate with a double and an RBI. Tommy Rice, Jason Bren and Kasey Ralston also added RBI’s in the game. Jon Pumper stole 3 bases while courtesy running for Jackson. A great game was played by all. Holy Family will host the South Sub-Section #1 seed, Kasson Mantorville Saturday morning in the Winner’s bracket final.

Holy Family Stays Undefeated at Home for 2010

The Fire finish the season perfect at home with a 9-0 home record. The bats came alive as Holy Family advances to the Section 2AA Final Four. It is now double elimination. The Fire got on top in the 1st with an RBI single by Junior Jeff Soule. Monty tied it in the top of 4 at 1-1. In the bottom of that inning, the Fire erupted for 8 runs. Monty put up 4 in the 6th inning to make it 9-5. Holy Family added an insurance run in the bottom half to help secure the 10-6 victory. Tommy Rice and Jeff Soule each had 4 RBI on the day. Miles Campbell broke the single season win record improving to 8-1 on the year. Miles also tied Coach Alex Sommer’s single season strikeout record at 87. Holy Family will play the Hutchinson Tigers on 6/3 at 5:00 in St. Peter.
